Recovery in progress...

Aaha.... sorry... not being able to put anything on blog since long time...

I was not well... had food reaction due to eating outside :-(   Thought will recover fast... but alas ... problem got stretched too much due to fever and cold... doctor advised to stay at home... take light food... and complete rest... ooh shit... I hate seating idle and doing no work.. Due to this... I canceled my Goa trip for 31st.. :-( :-(

Now what... nothing.. just seat back and relax... naaa... i don't like to do this..

So I learned and played some bollywood tunes like ;-)

"Tu na jane aas paas hai Khuda from Anjana Anjani", "Iktara Iktara from Wake up Sid", "Tu jane naa from Ajab Prem ki Gajab Kahani", "Sau dard hai from Janeman"....  and many more... :-)

People say that "Laughter is the best medicine"  I would like to add "Music" as a supplementary medicine to it.. Yes... music really soothes the soul :-) It is a moral booster. Somebody just said to me... "There is nothing more effective than a strong will power"... Will power will come.. if your moral is high :-)

Anyways... apart from this... I noted some really important items/points that are helping me to recover in such food reaction issues. Putting them up on the blog for reference.

Some of them are:
  • Eat fresh fruits and easily digestible foods such as rice, soji.
  • Drink plain boiled water or unsweetened lemon water. Orange juice is the best to have for breakfast (and my favorite too ;) )
  • One teaspoon of Cumin (Jeera in Hindi) powder with sugar. Mix them in a glass of boiled water and have it in the morning. :-) Good for stomach.
  • Have raisins and dates in the morning . Soak them overnight in plain water and consume them the next day. They promote quick recovery.
This is what my doctor advised me :-) What to eat and what to not is always a crucial question when issues are related to stomach... Idea is to take plenty of fluids and light diet at the start and then gradually increase the diet to normal.

Anyways.. Good bye for now... Will be back soon :-)

Pari chi swapne...

A B C D again..

In early school life.. many of us disliked studying... even i was not the exception ;-)
I remember those early days when teacher used to come and teach us A,B,C,D...  I was in 5th std... That made me learn these magical english alphabets !!

Since then... The time has come where I am all set to learn these same alphabets again.. :-)

Same kind of classroom... class mates... a teacher.... homework to do.. I am feeling back in school days aha.. :-)

Only difference is.... now.. re-learning alphabets which starts with C then comes D, E, F, G, A and that ends at B Again the cycle continues.... That's called as an Octave...

Anyways... the whole stuff has lot of time to go.. it is just a start... Cool :-)

I am enjoying it !!

Ek adhuri kahani...

Ek bande ki bas itni si prem kahani hai.. tuta hua dil aur ankhon mein bhara paani hai..

Woh gadha zameen par reh kar.. asmaan ki pari ke khwab dekh raha tha..

Sote jagte.. baas uske he vicharon mein khoya hua rehta tha..

Lekin uss pari ki bhi apni haseen aur vyasth zindgani hai…

Issliye himmat jutake uss se pyar ke do lavsb bhi naa keh pata tha..

Kehte hai.. pyar me nakaam, gum ko bhulane ke liye jaam mein dub jate hai..

Jaam usse raas naahi aata.. iss liye pari ke gum ko paani samaz kar pi jata tha..

Ajj bhi banda.. pari se maan hi maan mein yeh kehta rehta hai

Kabhi maan fir jaaye to.. jara aankhen utha ke dekhna upar aae pari…

Iss bheed bhari duniya mein.. lakhon chaahne wale honge tere.. lekin mere jaisa sachha dusra naahi koi..

Agar de sako saath mera to.. saari khushiyan samete laau mein..

Zindagi khol rakhi hai tere samne... padh sakhi to ek khuli kitab hu mein...

Tips - How to convert multiple image files from one format to another

On slower Internet bandwidths, we often find problems uploading high definition images (captured by digi cams which has high resolution capabilities) on social sites. One option is to reduce the image size then upload it. But what if we have plenty of such images to upload ???
Don't worry.. Here is a tip for converting multiple such image files from format A to format B.

Prerequisite

  • Run InfanView and follow steps given below to convert multiple image files all at once.

Steps

Open IrfanView, and click on File, in the Toolbar, and select Batch Conversion/Rename.... (fig 1) This will open the Batch conversion dialog box (fig 2)
fig 1
fig 2

fig 3
Next, you need to decide the format in which you want to convert all files to.
Under Batch conversion settings, use the drop down arrow to select the Output format. (fig 3)
If you don't want to change the file format (jpeg, gif, bmp, etc.), just select the format the images are already in. In this example, I am doing conversion of .jpg files to .gif files

In the Look in: box, navigate to the folder of images you want to convert. Refer (fig 4) and (fig 5)

fig 4
fig 5

fig 6
Select all the images to be converted, and then click the Add all button. This will add the selected file to the Input files: box, to the bottom of the Add all button. (fig 6)

fig 7
If you want to put them in a different folder, under Output directory:, click the Browse button, and navigate to where you want them placed. After selecting desired Output directory, click OK button.  (fig 7)

fig 8
Under Batch conversion settings, click the Advanced button to change the image settings for conversion. Advanced button, will open the Set for all images: dialog box. (fig 8)

This is where you set the changes, you want to make to the images. Putting a check in the box, next to the operation you want to perform, will activate the settings.

fig 9
In this example, I have activated RESIZE option and selected radio button Set new size as percentage of original. Provide value of 50 in both Width and Height options. This will simply reduce the image size by 50% of original image resulting in size decrease.

This dialog has variety of other options to tweak. When you have info on them, you can set the way you want them to work. When done, click the OK button. (fig 9) This will bring you back to the Batch conversion dialog box.

fig 10
If everything is set the way you want it, click the Start Batch button. (fig 10)

A dialog box will open, showing the files being processed.
fig 11
(fig 11) When it's finished, click the Exit batch button, and close Irfanview. Now just navigate to the folder you chose for the output file, and if everything went the way it's supposed to, your converted images should be there.

fig 12
And now have a look at result comparsion for before and after conversion sizes for above example. There is huge difference.

And now you should be done. Don't let slow bandwidth defeat your image sharing experience...Enjoy buddies :-)

Examples of being Workaholic

In my 5 years of professional career, I have seen how we transform from a happy-go-lucky engineering guy into a professional person. But during this transition, I agree, we do earn lot of experience... but we knowingly or unknowingly become so much workaholic... that even we could not figure out at the end... what we are doing and what we are saying :D

Some funny examples for the same:

Swipe Card
After tiring work sessions at office, guy reaching home very late at night and taking office swipe card to open the door at home  :D
This is very common problem with those people whose offices are strictly protected by IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) and every entry-exit in office is being recorded through swipe card... I am sure most of us had gone through this situation of swiping the card at unwanted places like the door at home  :D

Dial '9' before
Most of the offices offers calling on mobile phones from office's landline by dialling number '9' before the mobile number. People in support business often have habit to dial on cell phones of Customers via office landlines to get some information regarding support queries. One day one guy was at home, and was trying to dial his friend’s mobile number from the landline at house. He was dialling '9' first and then his friend’s number. After few mins.. (when he got pre-recorded error message tone from the instrument) He realised.. Boss.. I am not at office.. I can directly dial mobile number.. why I am pressing '9' before the cell#... :D

Right click and Right turn
One guy was working on UI related issue which included some RnD for right click event in excel. Spent two continuous days for this and most of the time he was doing right click.. right click and right click :D
Even after leaving from office, that right click issue was still in his head... When he got into the auto for his home, He asked autowala... "Bhaiya yahan se right click.. yahan se right click"... and not "Bhaiya yahan se right turn".. :D

See how much deep he was thinking about the issue that he did not realize the difference between “right click” and “right turn” :D

Status and Station
One day, a guy spent his complete working day in just creating status and status and giving updates... and on the same day when he left for the day, he got into bus. He had to take a ticket to "Mulund Station"... and He was overloaded with word "Status" that day... so you know what he asked to bus conductor? "Bhaiya ek Mulund Status dena".. :D
Poor guy.. that conductor gave very weird look for his query :D

U-turn and UI-turn
One day in auto (again), instead of saying U-turn, He said... UI turn... :D and that time he was working on UI applet side issue :D

Why the mouse pointer is not moving?
Most of the people have habit of keeping cell phone close to mouse... Sometimes... we take the cell phone in hand and forget the mouse.. then realise even after moving the thing in hand for so many times... why the hell mouse pointer is not moving ... then we realise ...array... mouse to pakda hi naahi hai :D

Damn!! where is the tissue paper?
I always look for tissue papres at the bottom of the eating plate even though tissue papers are not there ;) Actually in office lunch, we get one or two tissue papers supporting each lunch plate. Then the moment we finish the lunch we take out the tissue paper and clean up the things. But just imagine if you are taking food at home and guy is constantly searching for where are the tissue papers ? after finishing the lunch... then don't you think his mind is still in office canteen? ;)

Why the hell chair is not getting adjusted?
We have a habit of constantly adjusting the height of the office chair (As such office chairs are pretty expensive and comes up with various customisable options). Just imagine if you are seating on a very simple wooden chair and still trying to adjust its height and then getting sad why the chair is not listening to me? :D

Trying to unlock personal machine with office machine's credentials
We have a habbit of keeping same username on our office computer and personal computer. But we specifically keep passwords different. From the tiring office day, after you reach home and wanted to login to personal machine for checking some personal mails and stuff ;) and just imagine... we end up giving office machine's password and then we realise after 2-3 attempts that we are at home... office password will not work :D

For UNIX lovers
For those who love UNIX as if girl friend ;) ... such people, whenever they open command prompt on windows and want to check files in dir, I am sure they will be executing 'ls -ltr' on windows command prompt. :D After few fractions of secs, an error message pops up saying ''ls' is not recognized as an internal or external command'... ahaa... then we realise.. dude!! you are not on UNIX now :D

Fruits and best of technology giants
Being a software engineer, we are always fascinated about information of ever growing technical world. One day that software engineer goes to dietitian and the dietitian asks him... "What do you think of having Apple and Blank berry in diet?"... Software engineer responding .. " ohh yeah... both are good.. but one is for ultimate fun experience and other is strictly for business.. I will go for Samsung" :D :D :D

Height of humility
Very kind and soft spoken guy.. typing a love letter to girl friend with heading... "Respected madam,... " :D and ending the letter with "Thanks and Regards,"

Height of sincerity
A guy with above features, sending the love letter to girl friend & keeping her earlier boyfriend in "cc" list of the e-mail :D and telling him... FYI.. :D.. After the mail is sent, he will forward the copy of the e-mail to her parents saying "FYI & A" :D

Height of height
Such guy who always used to reach home late, suddenly, one day he reaches home so early than expected.

Reaction from watchman of his building: "Sir ji aap ko kabhi dekha naahi pehle.. Kis ke ghar jana hai?" :P

After convincing watchman that he stays in the same building since last 5 years,  then he moves into lift... Thinking about work, he doen not even press the floor button in the lift. Then after half a minute idle time, lift goes off with the power due to no activity... and then he realises that he has not yet pressed the upper floor button in the lift.. :D

After this, somehow he manages to reach the home and mom opens the door... first... for a minute she keeps recalling, is this my son?? then mom gets a surprise attack and in shouting tone she says... "OMG... what happened to you??? how come you are so early??? Is everything fine ??? You left the job kya??? :D and so on and so forth :D :D

My God... so these were some funny examples happened with me, with my friends...

So Friends.. at some point of time.. we should find a right balance between our professional and personal life.. else life will be as described above.. where we don't really realise where are we.. and what are we doning or saying..

So maintain that balance in life.... keep it simple silly :D

Don't just run behind the work... behind 'deal'lines... there are pretty other beautiful 'live' things in the world that we can try to explore... :D

It is Not cool..

Again.. Today was not cool... not really...

Everything went against...

Again no progress... no show... no communication... no initiative...

Failures and only failures..

I know i m not perfect.. i m not your favorite.. i m not as good as others... i m not the best according to you... because you like others than me... i know it...

But atleast Don't hate me... Don't talk harsh.. it hurts..  because u never noticed that you are one of those few people with whom i talked... i shared.. i smiled.. i cried...

It is not cool.. not cool anymore..

Daud ti zindagi me piche naa reh jaye issliye khud ko badlte chala gaya...

Settle honi ka junoon uske maan pe itna sawaar tha..
Iss liye na chahte hoe bhi kaam.. karta chala gaya

Kaam ke siwah usne kabhi kisi cheez ko dekha naahi tha...
Kyo ki career mein piche rehna usne kabhi seekha naahi tha...

Ghar lene ke khushi mein .. loan leta chala gaya
Loan chunkane ke chakkar mein.. job change karta chala gaya

Car lena ke sapne mein.. har pal dubta chala gaya
Sapne mein ladki ko.. mast car mein ghumata chala gaya ;)

Jab dekhi koi manzil.. to sapne mein khota chala gaya
Bechaara apne maan ki awaz ko khamoshi me chuupata chala gaya...

Har din har raat... appna 100% deta chala gaya
Har aadhe saal me incentive se aapna performance napta chala gaya

Itni jagdo jahat ke baad... ghar aur car to le lee :)
Par uski malkeen ko talashta reh gaya... talashta reh gaya... :(

Lekin abhi uske jeevan me ek naya sa mod aaya hai... ;)
Kyo ki aaj ye diwana engineer, shaayar jo ban gaya hai... ;)

Maan chahi manzil kaafi kareeb dikh rahi hai...
Lekin ye kabkth khumba kyo bich me aa gaya hai? :(

Hum unse baat karne ka bahana hi dhund te reh gaye...
Lagta hai iss manzil ka bhi rasta hum se alag ho gaya :(

Aaj diwali ki raat mein sara jaha jag maga raha hai...
Lekin mere jeevan mein kyo amavas ki raat chayi hai.. :(

Bhai itna soch rahe ho to jaarur koi gum ki baath hai...
Zindgi me akele kitne chaloge.. kya koi aap ke saath hai? kya koi aap ke saath hai?

Canteen ka woh Kona

Ek kone me mein tha.. who thi dusre kone mein..

Maan karta hai uss shaant si jheel me naav banke tair jaau..

Uun gulabi hoton pe jub komal si muskan aati hai..
Maan karta hai uss muskan ke takiye tale khayalon mein kho jau..

Maan karta hai uun reshmi julphon ki gehrai me khud ko duba jau..

Uski tarrif mein kya kahu, shabd kum paadh rahe hai..
Baas itna samzhlo usko paane ke baad aur kuch bhi paane ki "tamanna" nahi hai ;)

Usse milne ka, izhaar karne ka bohot maan karta hai..

Aaj kal uske hi Khwabon mein khoya hua rehta hoon..
Bheed mein bhi kabkth aapne aap ko aakela paata hoon..

Kuch to 'unusual' sa hua hai.. Jo pehle kabhi naahi mahsus kiya..
Maan kehta hai bohot hui purani zindagi kabhi to baan ke jee naya..

Lekin pata naahi mere iss sukhe nassib ke matke mein kya likha hai..
Registan mein kuwa to dikh gaya.. baas aub usme jeevan (pani) ki hi talash hai..

Lekin ye engineer ki zindagi bhi bade aajeebo gareeb khel rachti hai..
Zindagi bhar khubsurat chehre dikhake... sirf "dead lines" ko hi paane ko kehti hai.. sirf "dead lines" ko hi paane ko kehti hai..

Dard... ek nanhi si jaan ka

4 lyne suna raha hoon... aise insaan ki jisne jeevan me sirf khoya hai...

Dard o gham k siva jeevan mein kya mila. Kuch nahi
Jo kuch tha pass, kho bethie. Haasil huwa kuch nahi

Aap hum se door chale gaye, Hum aapse naahi
Glass toda bara aane ka aur, Khaya-piya kuch nahi

Jis paudhe ko sicha tha humne itne dino se mehnat karke
woh kisi aur ko apni chaaya dega

Unkee galiyon say guzrenge to manzar ajeeb hoga
Jagah hamari hogi par baitha koi aur hoga

Error-console Or log file of Asynchronous (one sided) love with my dearest $LOVE ...

  • The moment I saw/scanned you, my heart spawned multiple threads where each thread executing only your command.
  • I was like a dangling pointer containing your address but no ownership over you $LOVE.
  • Hence I tried to execute following command on the $HOST of $LOVE heart..
             ssh -n $LOVE@$HOST echo "Dummy Hi...May I........"
  • I got following response from $HOST
Can't SSH to remote $HOST: Connection closed by remote host
  • After checking connection status using Wire-shark tool, found that all my SYN packets are getting dropped and hence no ACK is coming  from $LOVE@$HOST
  •  Then I checked why connection is getting closed...It is found that too many concurrent ssh connections are present on same $HOST :(
  • Then I checked for any free port on that $HOST using netstat -lpn command...
But alas !!  Port already is use (Commited Status) ayyaa yaaaaaaaaaaar..

Soooooooooooo Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad :(

Note:
$LOVE -  name of your love (her name/his name),   $HOST -  address of your love's heart
Those who faced similar error in their boot-time of life (i.e. initial phases),  Kindly replace $LOVE with the name of your love (her name/his name) &  $HOST with the address of your love's heart   You will see your sad life in it.. :((

They brought the cake for me... This was really amazing & unexpected.

All came to cut the cake keeping their work aside.. Hat's up to them. __/\__

They made an ordinary guy like me to feel extraordinary on this occasion of birthday...

Thanks guys... Will cherish this forever.
